Some of you have heard me refer to Collaborate as an "accidental gallery." I thought I was making a space that included a gallery, but it turns out it is a gallery that includes some space.
While I loved having the gallery, I am an artist first. And this gallery wants a lot more attention than I can give it. I've decided to pursue my fine artwork full time and have moved to a new studio. I'm leaving the website up for now to share the work that we showed in our brief lifetime.
I want to thank everyone who was involved with the success of this brief venture, including Gallery Directors Nicole Hills and Susan Rippberger, artist Chuck Light and Steve DiCiucci for assistance with everything and photographer Diana Jean on PR. We would also like to thank art writer DeWitt Cheng and Alfonso Cosio and Monique Delauney of Art Enthusiast (formerly Oakland Art Beat) for their support and reviews. Big thanks to all of the artists, who are already too numerous to name, and of course the art buyers and visitors who sustained the gallery.
